Course Overview
Have you ever envisioned steering your own business toward success, even in challenging economic climates? If you harbor a business idea, we're here to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to turn that vision into reality.

Our four-year Business and Enterprise BA (Hons) with Foundation Year in Business provides an alternative entry point into higher education, catering to prospective students who may lack a sufficient or relevant academic background for university study.

The integrated Foundation Year in Business comprises modules that foster the development of your academic skills and confidence. It introduces key concepts, engages in debates, and imparts skills that will lay the groundwork for your subsequent years of undergraduate study.

Throughout the program, you'll delve into business objectives, practices, and principles through case study research, lectures, workshops, and student-led activities. Topics include supply chain and logistics, production and project management, business organization, human resources, and leadership principles.
The curriculum explores the modern business environment and the evolution of 'start-up' businesses in tandem with technological advancements. Emphasis is placed on sustainability, examining the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses. Moreover, you'll develop your own concepts and business plans through lectures, workshops, coursework, and group work.

Upon successfully completing the Foundation Year, you'll progress to Level 4 of the degree. Here, you'll grasp the fundamentals of business planning and development, gaining insights into finance and marketing for business.

The program teaches you how to craft a business strategy, make financial forecasts, present and sell your ideas, find customers and clients, and venture into international markets. Our vocational approach ensures ample opportunities to apply the business and enterprise skills you acquire. Practical assessments offer you the chance to develop a start-up business, generating your own income stream as an integral part of your degree.

Encouraging real-world application, you'll spend time delivering tangible outputs for your business, with assessments covering essential start-up tasks such as your launch event, marketing plan, and financial forecasts. In your final year, a major consultancy project allows you to collaborate with peers on new business ideas, applying your developed skills and knowledge to deliver business consultancy, reports, and recommendations.
