The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) stands as the primary admission test widely required by graduate and business schools in the US and select global study destinations. Admissions authorities utilize GRE test scores, in conjunction with academic credentials, to evaluate candidates' readiness for master's level studies.

Administered by the non-profit organization Educational Testing Service (ETS), the GRE assesses critical thinking, analytical writing, quantitative reasoning, and verbal reasoning abilities.

Prospective applicants to graduate or business schools have the opportunity to take the GRE once every 21 days, up to a maximum of five times within any consecutive 12-month period.
