Bronze may be started in the school year in which the participant turns 14. All Award sections must be completed before the participant’s 25th birthday.
A beginner-friendly 13 week Bronze DofE Skills course you can complete from home — designed to support Skills section participants who want a future-ready AI, creativity and entrepreneurship pathway.
Bronze is the perfect place to begin if you are new to the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Skills section. Across 13 short, structured weeks you'll explore artificial intelligence in a safe and approachable way, practise responsible online habits, develop a creative voice and build your first venture idea — all from home, in around one hour per week.
Every module ends with a portfolio prompt so you finish Week 13 with a small set of artefacts — goal-setting notes, AI creativity tasks, market research, branding ideas, a digital product concept, a venture idea plan, testing notes, a final reflection and a closing presentation — all uploadable to eDofE as Skills section evidence.
This course is designed to support DofE Bronze Skills section participants aged 14–24. It is not created by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Education Direct Worldwide Ltd is a UK provider operating in scope Life Skills, Science and Technology.
Education Direct Worldwide delivers and assesses this approved Skills activity. We do not award or approve the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Participants should agree the activity with their DofE Leader before starting and upload their evidence and Assessor's Report to eDofE for their Licensed Organisation to sign off.
