Silver DofE Skills Course Online: AI & Digital Entrepreneurship

Course Fee: £249 · Duration: 6 months, or 3 months progressing from Bronze · Format: Online · Level: Silver · Age requirement: School year turning 15

Silver may be started in the school year in which the participant turns 15. All Award sections must be completed before the participant’s 25th birthday.

A deeper online DofE Skills pathway for learners ready to extend Bronze into leadership, mentoring, advanced project testing and a more developed portfolio.

Silver is for participants who want their Skills section to mean more — a longer, richer project they can shape, test and lead. Across a minimum of six months — or three months if you are progressing from Bronze — you'll build on the Bronze foundation and add the leadership, user research and strategic thinking habits that universities and employers consistently look for.

The Silver pathway pushes your venture idea forward: real testing rounds with real users, peer mentoring, business model refinement, and a formal Silver showcase. You stay in control of pace at around one hour per week, and every step is mapped to eDofE Skills section evidence.

This course is designed to support DofE Silver Skills section participants aged 14–24, including Direct Silver entrants. Education Direct Worldwide Ltd is a UK provider operating in scope Life Skills, Science and Technology.
